About Our Central Oregon Handyman and General Contracting Company
Barrow Me is a Central Oregon handyman and general contracting company built around one simple idea: the person who quotes your job should be the person who stands behind it. We serve Bend, La Pine, Redmond and Madras with sixteen in-house service lines, from insulation and drywall through demolition, arboring, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, concrete, flooring and asphalt.
Started on job sites, not in a boardroom
Barrow Me grew out of years spent on Central Oregon job sites watching the same failures repeat. A homeowner hires a specialist for one trade, that specialist finishes and leaves, and the next trade inherits work that was never coordinated. Tile meets a wall that was never framed square. Cabinets meet a floor that was never levelled. Paint goes over drywall that was never properly sanded. Nobody is technically at fault, and the property owner pays for all of it.
The fix was structural rather than clever: bring the trades together, make one crew responsible for the whole sequence, and refuse to hand off a stage until it is genuinely ready for the next one. That is how we operate today. When our framer knows our tile setter is following him, the framing gets straighter. When our drywall crew knows our painter will see every imperfection under raking light, the mud coats get flatter.
We named the company Barrow Me because a wheelbarrow is the least glamorous and most essential tool on any site. It carries the load, it does not complain, and it shows up every single day. That is the standard we hold ourselves to on every property in Bend, La Pine, Redmond and Madras.

Four commitments that shape every job
These are not marketing lines. They are the rules we use to decide whether a job is finished.
Say the real number
Estimates are written, itemised and honest. If a scope has genuine unknowns behind a wall or under a slab, we say so up front and price the investigation rather than burying it in a lump sum.
Build it to last the climate
Central Oregon is hard on buildings. We specify materials and details for freeze-thaw, UV exposure, snow load and wildfire risk instead of copying details that work in milder places.
Respect the schedule
Your life does not pause for a renovation. We give realistic dates, communicate the moment something shifts, and do not disappear to another job halfway through yours.
Leave it better than found
Surfaces protected, dust contained, debris hauled, site swept. A clean job site is the clearest signal that the concealed work was done carefully too.
What "general contracting" actually means here
Plenty of companies describe themselves as full service and then sub-contract everything. Our definition is narrower and more useful to you: the trades listed on this website are trades we perform, schedule and stand behind ourselves.
That includes the unglamorous work most companies avoid — underground plumbing and electrical, Sloan valve systems in commercial restrooms, T1-11 and Hardie board production siding, duct fabrication, asphalt patching, stucco coats, and stump grinding after a hazard tree comes down. It also includes accessibility work: compliant ramps, widened doorways, curbless showers and properly blocked grab bars for households whose needs have changed.
The result is that a single Barrow Me project can move from demolition through underground utilities, framing, mechanical rough-in, insulation, drywall, tile, cabinets, flooring, finish electrical and paint without a single external hand-off.

Homeowners, landlords, managers and commercial tenants
Roughly half our week is residential remodeling and repair. The rest is property management support, rental turnovers, small commercial fit-outs and scheduled maintenance contracts. Each type of client needs something slightly different, and we structure the work accordingly.
Homeowners usually need clarity and communication. Landlords need speed and predictable cost. Commercial clients need work sequenced around occupancy and trading hours. All three need someone who turns up when they said they would.
Homeowners
Kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, decks, siding, roofing, insulation upgrades, accessibility conversions and the long list of repairs that has been waiting for a competent crew.
Landlords and short-term rental owners
Fast turnovers between guests or tenants, make-ready packages, damage repair, repaints, flooring replacement and preventative maintenance that reduces emergency calls.
Property managers
Multi-unit work orders handled in a single visit, documented with photos, invoiced clearly, and scheduled around tenant access requirements.
Commercial and light industrial
Tenant improvements, Sloan valve restroom systems, duct work, electrical finish, ADA compliance upgrades, asphalt and concrete repair, and scheduled general maintenance contracts.
Tell us about the project. We will tell you what it really takes.
